Tau11 – My Journey of Lifelong Learning

This is a living archive of my thoughts, experiences, and hard-earned insights, drawn from an unusual life. Here you’ll find reflections on the food I’ve eaten, the things I’ve bought, the people I’ve encountered, the places I’ve seen, the books I’ve read, the quotes I’ve kept, and the trends I’ve spotted and capitalized on.

I write this for you, my children, those already here and those yet to come. Daddy loves you more than words can hold. I want each of you to live lives you’re proud of. This is my thinking, in my own voice, left here for you to explore. I hope one day it proves useful.

If, by some unlikely chance, I’m gone before I can guide you in person, let this stand as a poor substitute. But in the more likely case that I’m still here, let this serve as an intellectual archive, a record that I held these convictions long before you were born. May that give weight to my words, and credibility to the wisdom I hope to pass on to you.

Thoughts on Bitcoin / Crypto

A lot of people say that they are not in it for the money but for the tech. But that’s stupid because for the tech to be implemented it needs a very high value.

If you want to secure a lot of value, you have to endure a lot of waste. Bitcoin does not exist in a vacuum. We have existing systems that move billions of dollars, and all the human beings, the giant buildings, the accountants, the people moving cash, chargebacks, these things all have an expense. That’s what we’re competing against, so if you measure the economic cost of the existing system. It is still worse than Bitcoin.

If you want to know whether a party is being truthful about a certain piece of information, you have to analyze the information they give you that has a cost associated with it. So if you’re a bird with really flashy feathers, and jumpy around movements. Those movements are calorically expensive and provide you no other benefit whatsoever except to show that you have excess calories to waste. So the ability to waste is the way by which you should measure and judge the information. The game theory behind why mining keeps people honest is that it’s costly.

You should not care so much about what a cryptocurrency’s market capitalization is, because it has no basis in reality.

Bitcoin forks with alternate proof of work are good for the ecosystem. Anonymity is good, and fungibility is good.DLT is useless, fuck all DLT, tell me what is wrong with Oracle, or MySQL with logs.

Security tokens are garbage. You’re all slaves to the transfer agent. You’re a security AND a token? great! But I don’t give a fuck what your blockchain says. I care about what this registered transfer agent says.

People keep saying they short the bankers. until you realize that the thing Bitcoin serves are the people with the most money

Cloud Mining is stupid. When you have to suck someone’s balls and beg them to point the hash rate at something you want to. You’re just begging. It’s not your electricity, not your machine, not even your node, you are a bitch.  And like all bitches, you will die a bitch’s fate, that all other bitches did before you, and got the shit scammed out of them by cloud mining + the shit ROI that comes from mining in the first place.
