Tau11 – My Journey of Lifelong Learning

This is a living archive of my thoughts, experiences, and hard-earned insights, drawn from an unusual life. Here you’ll find reflections on the food I’ve eaten, the things I’ve bought, the people I’ve encountered, the places I’ve seen, the books I’ve read, the quotes I’ve kept, and the trends I’ve spotted and capitalized on.

I write this for you, my children, those already here and those yet to come. Daddy loves you more than words can hold. I want each of you to live lives you’re proud of. This is my thinking, in my own voice, left here for you to explore. I hope one day it proves useful.

If, by some unlikely chance, I’m gone before I can guide you in person, let this stand as a poor substitute. But in the more likely case that I’m still here, let this serve as an intellectual archive, a record that I held these convictions long before you were born. May that give weight to my words, and credibility to the wisdom I hope to pass on to you.

Thoughts on Having Money (Life is Pay 2 Win)

On Life being P2W

The earlier you accept that most of the world is pay-2-win, the better your outcomes will be. This realization will cause you to begin buying things that will pay lifelong dividends, instead of personality-corrupting goods and services. Dumb people prioritize buying things like “experiences” (duh, everyone knows to do that, but these people overlook the basics).

Always first upgrade your:

1. Bed/mattress
2. body
3. face (teeth, eyesight, skin, grooming, etc)
4. family (and friends) time
5. diet
6. schedule
7. home
8. conveniences & comfort

Of course, there’s more stuff, but if you’ve done the above, you probably also have acquired the mental framework to think for yourself and not buy stupid shit.

On Spending Money

I’ve seen people get fancy cars they can’t actually afford, just to sell them at a loss later. The chase for material luxuries should be a phase to ascend beyond, but sadly most people get lost in this dumbassery (after all, there’s an infinite number of things to desire)

Why do we need this car, this watch, this luxury brand? Such things didn’t even exist in the past. Were our ancestors merely leading sad pathetic unfulfilled lives since they never got to drive a Lambo?

On the flip side, the point of money isn’t to gather a lot of it and then die with it. When you’ve achieved a life of wealth, you should do whatever makes you happy (assuming you’re not harming others). Just that it’s pretty disappointing then if you choose to use your wealth to gather memetic objects.

Perhaps the solution to this entire problem is to just be so rich that it is no longer a money problem, but a lifestyle preference. And it’s fine if you prefer the retarded choice, because who cares? You’re rich, and you’re paying to not have to think.
